Eat, drink and then be merry

Drink more... water!

From the moment you wake up to the moment you slope off to bed with your new husband, there will be a million and one things to do and an equal number of places you need to be.

It is all too easy to get swept up in lip gloss touch ups, photography angles and speeches, forgetting simple things like drinking water and lining your stomach for the night ahead.

Have a solid breakfast, such as scrambled eggs and make sure one of your bridesmaids carries a small bottle of water, so you can keep sipping throughout proceedings.

A parched bride usually ends up a drunk bride, and an empty stomach usually results in a stinking hangover.

At the end of the day, you want to enjoy the strawberry mille-feuille that you spent hours deliberating over, and, of course, it’s nice to be able to remember your first dance.
