Start out on the right foot

Get the groom involved!

While it is easy to get carried away by all the sparkle, frippery and general excitement of a wedding, it is essential that you keep your partner involved at all times - even if he is reluctant to make decisions on table décor and ice sculptures.

Don’t force him to go for choux pastry swans when he wants apple crumble; he has to feel as happy with everything as you do - consider it one of the first tests of marital communication.

A sure fire way to do this is to visualize your thoughts with a mood board, highlighting colour schemes and general inspiration from magazines.

Instead of forcing it under his nose, nonchalantly guide him towards it and make sure you can answer any questions on budget.

The effort you have gone to alone will leave him with little choice but to agree with everything you had your sights set on.
