There are certainly some things in your life that you couldn't live without. Your excessive tendencies may even give you a romantic air but your need for affection or recognition makes you fragile. So, to reassure yourself, you lapse into excessive behaviour.
Every now and then, it's OK. But things take a turn for the worse when this attitude carries on. Working can be a pleasure; working to the point of not taking any time off is a problem. Your fear of a void transforms certain pleasures into needs. You want your happiness to come from the outside world (things you buy, love, etc), but you're starting to realize that after the feeling of gratification, life starts getting more difficult.Sometimes you feel like going back in time and getting rid of all these habits that require more energy from you than they give you. At the end of the day, you cause yourself more bother than your fixes are worth.
Our advice: React before you get into danger. Listen to the warnings and worries of your friends and family, and take them on board instead of dismissing them all the time. If things are already quite bad, consider getting help from a therapist.
