Katell Vié: This often occurs first thing in the morning because although you blink around 10,000 times a day (which activates microcirculation and therefore avoids swelling), it's not the case at night..

There are several things to do to remedy the problem:
- remove eye make-up properly before going to bed (you can use the Clarins Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover Lotion, placed in a fridge for an even fresher feeling) and then use a product that's specifically adapted to the eyes with a light texture (greasier products like creams or oils that are not adapted to the ultra-fine skin around the eyes encourage swelling). Also, Clarins' eye contour products stimulate microcirculation which prevents swelling.
- avoid sleeping with your head buried in the pillow and try not to overheat your room.
- use fresh water in the morning to clean your face.
- throughout the day, and even on make-up, reapply Clarins Eye Contour Gel using light pressure, it's really soothing for tired, puffy eyes.
