Serums - Clarins advice
Anonymous: There's a lot of talk about serums at the moment (adverts, etc), I'm 30 years old, what serum would you recommend for me? and how do I use it? in the morning? evening? all year round?
Isabelle Thery: From the age of 30 onwards, the first wrinkles start to appear; so try the serum from the multi-active range. Use it in the evening before the night cream to wake with visibly smoother, more radiant skin first thing in the morning..
Gio2525: Is it OK to use a serum only at night time - and just before applying night cream?
Katell Vié: There are different types of serums which target different skincare concerns - anti-aging, regenerating or repairing serums are all best used at night when the skin’s repair processes are taking place. Other serums with lifting and firming properties can be used in the morning and can be beneficial throughout the day. Serums should be used before creams as their lighter, penetrative texture isn’t designed to stay on the surface, to give comfort or to protect the skin if used in the day..
Manie7492: I don't know which order to apply my products in the morning and evening...
Isabelle Thery: After cleansing you should always start by applying eye cream which is formulated differently to target this delicate area. Then apply one of Clarin's serums or facial oils, followed by a day or night cream. You can always add some UV sun protection for the day too, before applying your make-up.
