Why did you need to boost your sex drive?

"After I had our first baby, I wasn't interested in sex at all. I had to get back in shape and I breast-fed for a long time (six months). I was quite self-centred, I guess: I just focused on me and the baby. I just didn't feel like sex. I was so preoccupied being a mum. My partner was still the man I love, but we didn't have a sex life any more, and he suffered in silence at first. When he saw that if he said nothing things would start to escalate, he started talking to me."

What did you do?

"When we finally sat down and talked about it, I was really upset because I didn't want to admit there was a problem. Then I realized than I needed him back in bed. I felt as if I was pushing away part of him. The reality of it was, it wasn't enough being a mum anymore: I wanted him too. He really opened my eyes. I started making time and effort for him and it all started to come back. We started spending time alone, going out for dinner or to the cinema like teenagers again, and we started rediscovering each other's bodies and sharing intimate moments like a hot bubble bath or a massage."
