How can a physio help?

How can a physio help?

What will the physio do?
The physio will insert a probe into your vagina, which serves two functions:

o It makes your contract your muscles using a very small electric current. It’s totally painless – all you’ll feel is a bit of a tickle! This will teach you which muscles to use and how to use them, so that you can do exercises on your own.
o It will record your contractions. The probe records and displays your contractions in a graph on a screen. This allows you to see if you manage to do the exercises.

Physio is obviously really good for you, but it’s not enough on its own: you also need to do your exercises at home, otherwise you won’t work your muscles enough. Generally, a dozen visits to the physio, combined with exercises at home, should be enough to sort you out.
