Communicate to stay in touch with each other

On holiday you had all the time in the world and enjoyed your domestic bliss. Back home, your paths barely cross in the morning and communication is often reduced to scrawling "Honey, will you buy some milk?" on the fridge memo. When you don't have proper conversations with your partner, grudges and frustration can easily build up.

The solution to communication problems is, of course, talking to each other properly. Our sexpert says a lack of communication is one of the biggest problems that otherwise happy couples experience: "A lack of dialogue often generates aggression. Many women say they feel sexually inhibited if their partner doesn't understand how they're feeling."

Find more fun ways to communicate instead of having epic Serious Conversations every now and then after you've been brooding over problems and feel you can't cope any more. For example, have regular chats about what you like and don't like about each other's behaviour, to try and detect any niggles, but without crititcising each other. Don't forget to focus on the positives as well as the negatives.
