Am I in labour?

Signs of early labour are usually the same as full term labour signs, which include: contractions, back pain, a show (the mucus plug that seals the cervix during pregnancy comes away through your vagina), and your waters breaking.

If you feel any of the following symptoms, get to the nearest hospital:

- Bleeding

- Gush of fluid from your vagina

- Pain in your abdomen that you can't explain

- You baby doesn't move as much

- Constant headaches

- Blurred vision

- Dizziness

- Dull, constant pain in your lower back

A nurse or midwife will be able to tell you whether or not you are in preterm labour.
