Fashionable and aspirational names

As Celestine points out, a name says more about the parents than the child. An overtly aspirational name could be harmful.

Should Starlight choose to spend her days immersed in the Dewey Decimal System, she may never fully rid herself of the feeling that she didn't quite fulfill her parents' expectations.

Someone with a very fashionable name is forever destined to be marked out as a child of their time. In the years to come, no matter how much Botox all those Britneys born in 2000 pump into their bodies, their name will betray their true age. However, Clare and Anne (given a good surgeon) will be able to remain enigmatically ageless.
