The Sexiest Albums of 2015

by Marie-Sarah Published on December 26, 2015

Trying to set the stage for a romantic evening? Start with the perfect soundtrack! Here are our picks for the sexiest albums of 2015–the last three from Canadian artists.

Leon Bridges – Coming Home
Bridges scored big this year with this old-school soul album. Easy listening music to start out your night of passion, followed perhaps by a few seductive dance moves?

D’Angelo and The Vanguard – Black Messiah
With D’Angelo having been compared to Prince, James Brown and Marvin Gaye, it’s no surprise that he would make our sexy playlist. After a long break, he returns with a great new album that is sure to lead you and your guy straight to the bedroom.

Jamie xx – In Colour
“In Colour” has two catchy tunes, “Loud Places” and “I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times)”, but after listening to this opus a few times, I’ve also come to appreciate the moody feel of the other tracks, which are reminiscent of this British artist’s band, The xx.

Miguel – Wildheart
Miguel’s Soul and R&B music has always been sensual, and his third album does not disappoint. Romantic lyrics + romantic melodies = a very romantic evening!

Selena Gomez – Revival
If you’re in the mood for a more pop, feminine sound, Selena Gomez delivers with “Revival”. In 2015, the singer proved that she’s more than just a pretty face by turning out mature tracks filled with suggestive lyrics. If you really want to turn him on, why not put on a white T-shirt like she does in her sultry “Good for You” video?

Drake – Hotline Bling
OK, this one may be a cheat since this single isn’t actually on an album, but this Drake tune was so huge in 2015 than we just had to include it. Its catchy cha-cha beat is way too funky to leave out of your sexy playlist!

Justin Bieber – Purpose
Much like his former flame, Selena, the 2015 album of our own Canadian superstar shows a man emerging from adolescence. If the songs themselves don’t quite do it for you, check out the accompanying music videos. With dance moves like that, it’s no wonder that Justin Bieber is considered one of the best in the business.

The Weeknd – Beauty Behind the Madness
There’s no question that 2015 was a great year for The Weeknd, a.k.a. Abel Tesfaye of Toronto, who made waves worldwide and dominated the Top 10 charts. While this album may have pop leanings, the tone remains outrageously seductive. There’s a reason that “Earned it” was chosen for the “Fifty Shades of Grey” soundtrack!
