Powder is really important for setting your make-up and stopping it from running together. 

Loose powder should be applied with a cotton wool pad, not with a blusher brush. Use light pressure for a decent coverage.

I mix Clinique powders 3 and 4 with a dash of No.2 (natural transparent rosy beige) and apply all over the face, including the nose and eyelids.
