How Beautiful Are You? Photoshop Experiment Reveals All

When 24 year-old Esther Honig asked 40 different freelance Photoshop experts, in 25 different countries, to photoshop her face according to their standards of beauty, she did not expect what she got back. The images are...well, see for yourselves.

We live in a culture that obsesses, picks and points at a standard of beauty that no-one can achieve. We get it, it sucks. But looking at these Photoshopped images from around the globe will make you realize just how insane our relationship with 'beauty' really is.

Esther sent out a photograph of her own face to be doctored by Photoshop amatuers and experts alike, with one request - "make me beautiful."

The results she got back from countries like Sri Lanka, Kenya, India, Greece and the US are supposed to show how personal and cultural stereotypes affect the expectations of female beauty.

Esther says on her website:

Photoshop allows us to achieve our unobtainable standards of beauty, but when we compare those standards on a global scale, achieving the ideal remains all the more illusive.

But also... they're pretty hilarious.
