Christophe Josse: Updated pastels

©Christophe Josse Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2009

On the podiums
A bit insipid on first sight, pastels become very strong mixes with black or white. Key colours such as lilac, peach, coral and pink can be mixed up or worn alone and look perfectly contemporary. New creamy textures imbibed with metallic particles light up the face. This make-up makes it look as if you're radiating strong colour from within, with only a pastel blush showing on the outside. The result is electric, not washed-out at all.

In your mirror
Apply bright eyeshadow all over your mobile lid, then cover with pearly white shadow until the colours blend together for a stunning natural effect.
