Stress relief in the sun - how to really de-stress

There was one program at LeSPORT that was perfect for my over-stressed and over-worked mind and body

I booked on to the De-Stress/Breathe Program. While dealing with tension and common stress-related symptoms, the program aims to promote understanding of the body’s reactions and help in regaining control.

To this end, a seven night stay in a plush resort with oodles of daily treatments such as reflexology, reiki, aromatherapy massages, and mind-body restoration treatments was prescribed.

There's so many activities to choose from so I combined this “hectic” schedule with daily drop-in classes in Pilates, meditation, Aqua Fit, yoga, Body Stretch, and an interesting class called Posture Correction Workshop which aims to correct ‘bad’ habits picked up from sitting at computers, driving and standing.

As someone who goes to the gym regularly, I enjoyed heading to classes on a daily basis, however, as they are on a drop-in basis, I also loved that I was under no obligation to go.

I had particularly good fun at Aqua Fit which is actually hard work. I found The Body Stretch perfect for un-crumpling my tired jet-lagged limbs - I was so impressed I went every day to loosen up for the day ahead.
