Ragdale Hall experience

Ragdale Hall experience

It is little surprise that this award winning spa is often held up as a shining example to others - the secret is in the service.

The spa staff are absolutely faultless. Every single employee we encountered throughout our stay did their best to put us at ease and make our stay as pleasurable and as stress-free as possible... even the spa cat did her bit.

At dinner, when we realized we were missing the X Factor final (heaven forbid!), the dining staff arranged to have our delicious desserts sent to our room so we could scuttle off and catch the second act.

I know it's sad that X Factor was such an important consideration on a spa break, but it's about relaxation right? What better way to spend a relaxing Saturday night than curled up with yummy puddings and mugs of hot chocolate, in front of a mindless TV talent show. Bliss!

If the staff and service were far and away the most wonderful thing about Ragdale Hall, the second biggest round of applause goes to the relaxation rooms, of which there are many!

In particular though, The Retreat is a hidden gem, right at the back of Ragdale Hall, hidden away past the treatment rooms and conservatory tea room. It's one of the only silent areas and it's furnished in soft, welcoming shades.

Massive floor cushions, comfy sofas and enveloping wicked chairs invite you to pull a blanket on, curl up and see how long it takes for your book to fall through your fingers as blissful sleep takes over.

There surely is no greater pleasure than this. Utter heaven!

Despite the thermal spa experience, the rest of Ragdale Hall was fantastic and I would whole-heartedly recommend it. It pains me to give anything a negative comment as the staff and the rest of the stay were so lovely.

Ragdale Hall is great for a trip with the girls, a mother & daughter get-away or a romantic break with your man. It's an absolutely fabulous place to come whether spa virgin or seasoned spa goer.

I cannot wait to go back, I'm just going to wait until it's a little warmer.
