Shopping as far as the eye can see
In Miami, it's not frowned upon to shop in your bikini and shorts. Continue your visit in the Art Deco South Beach stores, where you can find anything from bags to shoes, and at all prices.

Venture up into the Design District to explore the city within the city dedicated to design, though it doesn't come alive until after 5pm. Wander through the pedestrian area of Lincoln Avenue to see all kinds of brands. If you can't resist the urge to visit a shopping mall (why would you want to hide from the sunshine?), file up to Bal Harbour for the super luxe stores nestled amid a tropical garden.

A taste of the non-stop party
A favourite of celebrities, models and those who like their bling, Miami is proud to have a sense of celebration and is definitely on the map as a party destination!

Again, it depends on what mood you're in. The bars on Ocean Drive are popular, and there they serve mojitos (THE drink to be seen drinking in Miami) in king-sized glasses (sometimes topped with two bottles of Corona to drink at the same time!)

If you fancy somewhere more exclusive, follow the initiation journey in the Wedding Crashers...

On Monday, start on the roof of the Gansevoort, on Tuesday try out French Tuesdays, initiated by two Frenchmen between New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Mexico, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Miami, and finish at the Delano. On Wednesday, everyone's at the Vita, on Thursday evenings around the pool at the W is where it’s at ... and that's all without leaving South Beach of course!

Golf and the best burgers
Miami loves sports, but golf is where the heart is.

Among the most beautiful golf courses in the city is the Fairmont Turnberry, two 18-hole championship courses designed by Robert Trent Jones and redesigned by Raymond Floyd.

It has a distinctive feature: the 18th hole,  'Island Green', where nearly 40,000 balls are recovered from the surrounding Lake Boros every year). As well as being the most difficult, it's also the most spectacular because of its environment.

Take the opportunity to dine on site at Bourbon Steak: a chic and trendy restaurant, where you can enjoy the excellent beef Wagiu and the best burger in town.
