Hotel and restaurant: Berwick Lodge
In 1880 Berwick Lodge was built as a lavish wedding present from his general to his daughter. With views of the Severn Valley and Bristol Channel, this hill-top inn has been refurbished in keeping with its original classical style.
The boutique hotel rooms are individually designed to reflect the opulence of the Anatolian period.
Beautiful interior features include marble fireplaces, mosaic floored bathrooms with Victorian style slipper baths and sleigh beds. Set in 15 acres of secluded woodland and garden, create an atmosphere reminiscent of the Belle Epoque.
The outstanding reputation of partner and Head Chef Chris Wickes precedes him at the Berwick Lodge restaurant, where he has created a stunning menu of dishes inspired by classical European cuisine.
