Amelie Mauresmo won her second Grand Slam title at Wimbledon in 2006. Will she triumph again this year? With many promising young players emerging to rival established champions such as the Williams sisters, this year's Championship could prove to be full of surprises.

French Open champion Justine Henin will be eager to avenge her loss to Mauresmo in last year's final, but she's not the only strong contender to the Frenchwoman's crown. Seasoned Grand Slam champions Maria Sharapova, Martina Hingis, Serena Williams and Anastasia Myskina will all be gunning for glory, as well a whole host of promising youngsters.

Leading the pack is last year's semi-finalist, Czech Nicole Vaidisova, who is just 18 but already a fixture in the world's Top Ten. 19-year-old Serbian Ana Ivanovic, the World No. 17, has shown herself capable of taking down big guns, while French No.2 Tatiana Golovin has also been making waves this year. Elsewhere, 20-year-olds Anna Chakvedatze from Russia, Shahar Peer from Israel or Lucie Safarova from the Czech Republic are also ones to watch.
