Shop until you drop
While we don’t want to encourage reckless spending at the holidays, shopping—even window shopping—can be a great form of exercise! That is, as long as you do it the right way. Malls can be turned into veritable gyms, if you walk a few extra laps and always take the stairs instead of the elevators.
For added benefit, strap on ankle weights or wrist weights. When you’re browsing your favorite neighborhood or shopping street for gifts—walk, don’t drive! And while we love public transportation, skipping the train or the bus and walking a few extra blocks does a body good.
