Good for the Mind

We all feel good floating around weightlessly in the water, on a subconscious level, it reminds us of being in the womb.  The liquid supports us, relaxes our muscles and soothes tensions.  Guided by the body, the mind follows and stress vanishes. 
 
Moreover, like any other sport, swimming stimulates the body to release endorphins, those famous pleasure hormones.  After just a few minutes, you will feel great  - a real natural high!

Finally, like all endurance activities, the repetitive movements involved in swimming are reassuring and calming.  A routine sets in, soothing both body and mind and as we move forwards through the water, we move forwards mentally as well.  The calm and peace gives us distance from our daily lives and provides great thinking space.  We always get out of the pool feeling better than when we got in!
