There are lots of foods that are good for your eyes!

Cabbage, tuna, butter, citrus fruits, peppers, carrots, and blueberries are some to name a few.

There are also nutritional supplements available over the counter.

They usually contain vitamins, antioxidants, xanthophylls and omega-3s that have a beneficial effect on retinal aging.

If your interested in more information, ask your optician or pharmacist for advice.

> Stay in the shade
The intensity of solar radiation is highest between 11am and 4pm, when the sun is at its highest point in the sky.

It's therefore important to be particularly vigilant during this time period, especially for children.

So as well as sun cream, don't forget sunnies, hats and parasols for all the family!
