The back section is thinned by tapering and layering, the clippers working in both a horizontal and slanting direction. This brings body to fine hair.
Next, Jean-Charles lightens the mass of hair at the back of the neck. He then attacks the top of the head, cutting from underneath to give a bit of volume, then moving onto the right-hand side that he cuts shorter, to give a staggered effect. He leaves a long section of hair on each side and finally refines the cut once the hair is dry.
