Can colour fade over time?

It shouldn’t, unless you’re using a semi-permanent colour which washes out over time. The active ingredients and colour pigments are carefully mixed in permanent dyes, but be careful, as spending hours in the swimming pool will dull your freshly-coloured blonde locks and could give them a green hue.  If you swim regularly, semi-permanent colour may be best for you, as the chemicals in the water can dry hair and distort colour.
