Question 7 - something dramatic

Question 8:

Dear Andrew,

My mum, Dawn, has been really lucky with her hair. She’s 54 and is only now going grey - it’s still the odd strand but in her words ‘too many to pluck out now’. It’s her 55th birthday soon and I would like to book her in for a restyle and colour. She’s been growing her usual short on top and at the sides cut so it’s a good time to do something different!

She’s never dyed her hair and it’s in great condition - thick, poker straight and dark brown naturally. She’s pale with light blue eyes, petite features and good bone structure. 5”6 and slim build.

She’s also expressed an interest in having something dramatic done like maybe going blonde. With such pale skin is this something she could do? What do you suggest for a style?

Thanks
Anna

My answer:

Hey Anna,

Check out Victoria Beckham's new textured bob cut it would look fabulous on your mum, she’ll need a pair of my Andrew Barton extra larger barrelled tongs to get the little flicks and waves in the hair.

A few soft highlights around her face just a couple of shades lighter than her natural colour (NOT BLONDE THOUGH!) would look stunning. Tell her to come and see one of my team at my Covent Garden salon...
