Choose a trustworthy person

It sounds obvious, but if you want to learn to trust again, you've got to pick someone trustworthy!

Remember that reappraisal process we mentione? This is the next step.

Once you've worked out what kind of man you want to go for (and we're hoping you've opted for an Honest John type), you've got to work out if you can trust the person you've met.

"You can normally work it out from looking at the friends they spend time with and their family, be more vigilant about looking out for those signs you ignored before." Christine says.

"You wouldn't buy a house without having a survey, so keep your eyes open," she adds.

At the same time, there's no way you can be sure that someone isn't going to betray your trust. "There are no guarantees - if you're looking for that, give up," Christine says.
