Fashion Pop: Six designers compete on the catwalk

Under chandeliers and bright fashion lights, Montreal fashionistas gathered for the sixth time since 2008 for the annual Fashion Pop segment of Pop Montreal.

The attraction? The opportunity to watch six designers face off on the catwalk for the chance to win $1000, an editorial in Worn Fashion Journal, $500 at Le Château, and a chance to present their collection at Espace Pop.

Square cut bangs, top knots, bright lipsticks, clunky platforms, lace stockings, leather leggings, layering, statement necklaces, satchel bags, midi-length shift dresses - the fash-pack was in fine form!

Camille Forchero: MimiHammer

Camille Forchero studied made-to-measure tailoring at the École des métiers des Faubourg.

This young designer's bathing suit collection, called "Le Grand Mars changeant," was inspired by the "beauty and gentle volatility of butterflies."

We see it more as worthy of Michelle Pfeifer in Scarface, combining Miami gangster glitter with soft, airy movement.
