The first show to come to mind is the David Dixon show which opened with a sequence from the film “The Birds” and whose collection was inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s masterpiece.

Fortunately, the evil birds aren’t quite so terrifying in his collection, their feathers decorating long skirts, capes and even rings and bracelets.

Apparently, David Dixon wasn’t the only person to have received the memo because these same feathers were to be found on a few Pavoni evening dresses.

A simple black gown adorned with black feather peplum that closed the Pink Tartan show is also worth mentioning.

But if there’s one collection to remember, it’s the one from Lucian Matis, whose choice of iridescent feathers, combined with his guipure creations, produced an extremely couture result!
