The new Giles
Erdem's fellow headline grabber Christopher Kane showed what could be described as Neon Granny: laser-cut ‘lace’ in neon pink paired with traditional argyle, knife pleat detailing sculpting the bodice of a pale neon yellow halter dress, oriental print panels.
A collection of intricate texture and popping colour that ignited your senses, even after the midweek lull.
We missed Giles’ showstopper featuring the likes of Abbey Clancy and Kelly Brook modelling his eyeball and floral prints and unique brand of bubblegum fun.
Instead, we caught the F.A.D show where a group of 16-19 year olds are given a unique insight into the fashion industry and, through workshops, are given the opportunity to show their designs live on a catwalk at London Fashion Week.
An inspiring way to end the day - who knows which of these young designers could be the Giles or Erdem of ten years time?
