London Fashion Week s/s 2011 - Day 2
The faint whiff of desperation

The faint whiff of desperation

That faint whiff of desperation polluting the air that some of you Londoners may be able to smell comes from those lower down the rank clamouring to break past the woman and her clipboard just to see the top of a models head bob down the catwalk. There’s still something to be said for being inside.

Is the exclusivity of fashion what makes it exciting? In New York both Tom Ford and Victoria Beckham turned to old-fashioned salon-style shows to showcase their upcoming collections.

Think of the glamour of Audrey Hepburn modelling in Funny Face and you’ll see why.
