As at New York Fashion Week, the big hits were yellow, the masculine look, tweed, checks and French chic, with volume a continuing trend. Then there was the invasion of ethnic fashion (previously confined to street and casualwear) into the realm of haute couture, pointing towards a new, more ethical vision of high fashion. The overall emphasis was on fashion that isn't afraid to poke fun at itself.
