Paris-based menswear label Wintle debuted in London for spring/summer 2010. Designed by Jsen Wintle, this collection was inspired by the photographic works of Edward Burtynsky, so the bleak, industrial landscapes were translated sartorially into sharply tailored ombré suits in tones of dusky blue and charcoal. This was French tailoring at its very best, perhaps even enough to rival our very own Savile Row.
Menswear day at London Fashion Week reflected the rest of the week in that it showcased such an eclectic range of design and spring/summer trends, proving that even after 25 years London Fashion Week doesn’t just follow trends, it creates them. Here’s to another 25.
