From a very British brand to a foreign import, Fashion Shenzhen showed at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout.

Three established Chinese designers displayed the talent we can expect to come out of the Shenzhen province.

Tangy, designed by Liang Zi, showed a collection of vibrant floral prints that looked reminiscent of a Matryoshka doll.

A distinctly bohemian aesthetic featured alongside more modern design, a tiered gypsy skirt and knitted poncho were worn with vertiginous heels.

Next up was the label Ground Show with a collection of architectural shapes and nature-inspired touches.

All in a searing shade of scarlet, the collection focused on the form with dramatic cocoon skirts and sculpted shapes. Texture was built up with knitted fringing and chiffon pailettes and headdresses featured butterflies and red berries.

Last but not least, Xindier, designed by Xie Haiping, offered a comprehensive collection of tailored pieces in earthy tones. Models tiptoed down the catwalk barefoot with chalked feet, in olive chiffon dresses and jackets with leather panels.

A day of diverse sights, from girlie to gingham, from British heritage to modern Chinese design – London is unrelenting in its eclectic mix of design talent.
