Evidently the future’s looking bright for London talent, but our 100-year-old brands are looking just as healthy.

Jaeger London showed at the main tents in Somerset House to none other than Anna Wintour herself.

The American Vogue editor saw model of the moment Lara Stone open the s/s10 show, which seemed to be all about comfort.

The models stalked along a shagpile carpet in sheer cargo shorts and sequin sweatshirts, tailored harem trousers and oversized blazers and blouses with billowing sleeves. T

ouches of gold leaf continued the metallic trend that seems to have invaded every catwalk and coral, jade and turquoise injected exotic colour among the faded nudes and taupes.

The only austere element seemed to be the model’s scraped back ponytails, but otherwise the message is clear from Jaeger London: s/s10 is about wearable glamour – not a bandage dress in sight! Hoorah.
