Restraining ourselves from heading straight to the park to test out our aforementioned fashion Frisbee, we finished the day at On|Off to see Falguni & Shane Peacock who had tempted Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams out for yet another show. The Indian design duo are based in Mumbai and by the look of the exotic prints, it provides endless inspiration. The body-conscious collection featured minidresses with cheeky sheer panels against printed chiffon. Continuing the trend for elaborate embellishment, the design team used feathers as their medium. Feathered boleros with beaded epaulettes and printed dresses with turquoise feathered panels gave the collection a carnival atmosphere.

Day three was one of glitz and glamour. During the Great Depression of the 1920s we turned to musicals as escapist fare. Perhaps sequins, opulent embellishment and carnival colours can be the fantastical escape for us in the 21st century.
