The only sounds on The Strand on Sunday morning were the occasional double decker and the click-clack of the fash-pack's heels.

Betty Jackson opened proceedings with an eye-wateringly early 9am show and yet still the BFC's official catwalk was full to the brim with lovers of Betty's brand of British chic.
Continuing her love for all things floral, daisy prints in delicate petal pink and mossy green opened the show.

Silky skirts finished below the knee - rather more respectable than some of the non-existent skirts we’ve seen this fashion week - but make a note that bras are now to be worn over prim blouses; after all there’s no point hiding beautiful undergarments!

There are a few nods to the exaggerated coat hanger shoulders that have dominated spring/summer this season but Jackson has designed a collection that’s ready to be worn for work or play.
