“Demented platforms! That period taught me amazing lessons, mainly that nothing is impossible.” A concept she has since embraced.
It was then that the young designer remembered a dream that had always been at the back of her mind. “To have my own business,” she said.
“What better time to come back to Montreal? That’s exactly what I did.”
Armed with her British experience, inspired and intrepid, Anastasia launched her business with her fiancée’s support. “It’s a team effort. I create and Nicolas tests the possibilities with 3D models.” If the look is important, structure, comfort and mechanics are paramount. “A heel prototype means two months of research and tests! That’s not counting assembling it, incrusting it, or any other kind of couture tricks,” the designer explained.
