STRICT

Your goal: to lose weight fairly quickly.

The rule: Don’t eat anything that’s been prepared with a knife at your evening meal.

What's off the menu:

Anything you eat with your fingers (biscuits, nibbles, sandwiches, sausages, seafood, olives, fresh fruit, sweet treats, chocolate), with a spoon (soup, boiled eggs, yogourt, breakfast cereal, fruit salad, cake, ice cream) with a knife, (all spreads, butter, soft cheese, paté, taramasalata, houmous, jam, honey, ketchup, mustard, fruit peel or rind, eggs, cheese on toast, meat, liver, cheese, pizza, quiche)

What's on the menu:

Vegetables, pulses (lentils, peas, beans), cereals (pasta, rice, wheat, semolina), fish, and any ready-prepared meals using foods from this list.
