Make or buy plenty of different salads, as a crunchy, refreshing accompaniment to your meat and fish. Season with a light dressing or simply olive oil, balsamic vinegar and lemon juice.

Try grilling vegetables on the barbecue as well, wrap them all up in a foil parcel with a couple of cloves of garlic to seal in nutrients and flavour.
