Rice milk: description, advantages and disadvantages

Made of rice ground in water and filtered, rice milk is lactose and gluten-free, quite sweet and neutral-tasting. The taste depends on the rice used (thai, basmati etc).

Advantages
: very easy to digest, naturally sweet and liked by children, especially in milkshakes. Suitable for all types of drinks, including tea and coffee. Recommended for athletic types, as it's a source of slow-release carbs.

Disadvantage: fairly plain-tasting.

- In rice pudding
- In soups to make them even creamier
