Molly Wizenberg, a native Oklahoman with Parisian flair who now lives in Seattle, began her Orangette as a way to forge a new path, leaving behind the cultural anthropology PhD world and taking on, with gusto and delight, the wonderful wide world of food.

The blog led Molly into the food-writing world, then the book world, and finally the restaurant world. In 2009, Molly opened a gorgeous little pizza restaurant in Seattle, Delancey, with her husband (whom she met through the blog!), and in 2011 the two opened a second venue, Essex, a bar and restaurant next door to Delancey.

Molly’s writing is as honest and sensitive as her podcast, Spilled Milk (worth a listen!), which is hilarious.
