Witch finger wraps
These 'witch finger wraps' sound scary but the bacon wrapped pork sausages and spiced potato wedges will be a mouth watering treat at any Halloween party.
The tortilla is sprinkled with Tabasco Original which gives a terrific buzzy zing to all the flavours in the sausages and wedges. With blood red ketchup and Tabasco as a dipping sauce, these can be as hellishly hot as you can stand.
4 good quality sausages
8 rashers streaky bacon, rinded
few dashes Tabasco Original sauce
approx 16 potato wedges, pan fried
For the sauce:
tomato ketchup mixed with a generous shake of Tabasco Original sauce to taste.
How to make:
1. Heat a non-stick pan and cook the sausages for 7-8 mins, turning frequently until lightly browned. Remove from pan. Starting from one end, wrap 2 rashers bacon around each sausage. Return to pan and cook until sausages are cooked and bacon is crisply brown.
2. Meanwhile heat the tortillas according to packet instructions and sprinkle with a few drops of Tabasco sauce.
3. Sprinkle wedges with Tabasco. Place 4 down the centre of each tortilla and top with a bacon-wrapped sausage. Fold over tortilla and wrap in paper napkin and tie with string. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Serve immediately with sauce on the side.
