Butter-free chocolate cake recipe
Serves 6 people

200g cooking chocolate
1 natural yogourt
60g almond powder
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
Preheat oven to 180-210°C (Gas Mark 6-7).
Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie or in the microwave.
Whip the eggs with the sugar until the mixture turns white. Sift the almond powder, flour, cocoa and baking powder. Add the melted chocolate to the eggs, followed by the sifted mixture.
Add the yogourt and mix until the mixture becomes smooth.
Line a high-sided cake tin with greaseproof paper (unless you're using a silicone cake tin) and spread out the mixture.
Cooking time will depend on your oven but it should take about 25 to 30 minutes. You can tell if the cake is cooked by inserting a thin knife into it: if the knife comes out dry, it's ready!
