Women's intuition is a powerful thing. Often women report "feeling" pregnant or "just knowing" before they've had their pregnancy confirmed.

Some women report this as an addition to symptoms on our checklist but others say they know because of the lack of their usual "monthly cycle" symptoms.

"I just didn't feel any different so I knew something was up", says Anita Green, 31-year-old, mother of one from Chelmsford.

Some women describe the "feeling" of being pregnant as a weird feeling inside their belly, others say it's just an inner certainty that something has changed.

There is no hard and fast rule about "just knowing". It doesn't happen to everyone but it's worth listening to your body if you think it's trying to tell you something. Take a test to be sure.
