Adult attitude and father's influence

Adult attitude and father's influence

Oh yes, even at the office dad's got influence! As proof, here's an anecdote of a company manager respected by her peers. "During a meeting, the big boss started to criticize the slowness and lack of drive within my team. I surprised myself by replying: 'Actually, I think you're being rather unfair, dad!'. You can imagine everyone's faces!" She was remembering how her father used to reproach her when he helped her with her homework.

Anxious about getting good grades, some women continue in their efforts to always be the number one in the class, even in the company - in order to avoid disappointing their superior, their new father figure. And then there are those who had it drummed into them when they were younger that "they'll never be worth anything". As result, their ambition is stalled. Not forgetting the ladies who choose to follow the same career path as daddy: "like father, like daughter". They have to increase their efforts tenfold to prove that they can measure up to their father's expectations and competency.
