Choosing a nursery

How to find a nursery

Most nurseries should be able to send you a brochure and will welcome a visit from you. Some day nurseries may have waiting lists so you need to get your child registered very quickly if you are keen to get one of the limited places available, especially if you are looking for a place for a baby or younger child.  Make an appointment to view the facilities or meet with the Manager.

Netmums.com provide listings of local nurseries and also have a noticeboard where you can ask other local parents to share their experiences of nurseries in your area.

Day nurseries are registered and inspected by Ofsted and reports can be read online on their website - the report should tell you so much more than the brochure!
