Labelling

Whether you opt for sewn in, iron on or permanent ink pen, you must must label all your child's possessions. The sew in labels tend to be the most durable and attractive, but they usually take a couple of weeks to order. Many school uniform outlets offer an instant service for iron on labels - these can be fiddly to apply and sometimes lose their stickiness but are a good quick fix option. A permanent marker
is essential - for plimsolls, bags and even shoes (yes, it is worth putting names in shoes as chances are someone will have the same pair!). The rule is, if you don't label it, be prepared to lose and have to replace it!
