What to do when your child is being bullied

What can be considered bullying?

According to PREVNet, bullying can manifest itself in six different ways: physical, verbal, social, cyber and, for older children, dating aggression and sexual harassment.

Physical and verbal bullying is fairly self-explanatory while social bullying is a little bit different. This can involve kids spreading rumors, excluding each other from social groups and gossiping.

In cases with older children, it is also important to remember that they can also be on the receiving end of sexual harassment and dating aggression. Dating aggression can be physical, psychological or sexual.
