AW11 beauty trends you can rock NOW
Metallic smoky eye make-up
A smoky eye comes up every fall in reaction to summer’s nudes and pastels. But next season the smoky eye is metallic, with flashes of light and colour - certainly fit for a balmy summer night. Tom Pechaux’s silver eye for Derek Lam AW11 can be worn right away.
Granted, the Pure Color collection shadows he used are not available until fall, but for now you can use Pure Color Eyeshadows in Black Crystals and Silver Bell £15.50.
1. Use a flat brush to take Black Crystals from the inner corner, out towards the temples in a wing.
2. Top Silver Bell on the centre of the lid to produce a silver foil finish. Work a little into the inner corner of your eye.
3. Gently work a little Silver Bell into the lower lash line and inner rim of the upper lid.
4. Finish with a slick of DoubleWear Zero-Smudge Curling Mascara £19, wiggling the brush into the roots.
