Dealing with the guilt

The worst thing to come to terms with when you are having to break up with someone who does not want to let go is the guilt.

Kuldeep says: "It’s natural to feel guilty but remember, just because you are the one who wants to break up, it doesn’t mean that you’re the baddie, it could be that you’re the one doing you both a favour.

Actually you need to deal with your own feelings of hurt and disappointment as much as the other person.

You owe it to yourself and your partner to be honest, that’s the most caring thing to do."

The chances are the break-up will be just as hard on you so try and keep that guilt at bay and remember, this is the right thing to do and you'll eventually be OK.
